Parents/Guardians of Children with Special Needs

There are more than 11,000 children on IEPs in the Boston Public School System (BPS).
Working together to have a collective voice on special education issues.

Understanding Neuropsychological Evaluations

A neuropsychological evaluation is an assessment of how one’s brain functions and tests functioning in a number of areas including:
Intelligence
Executive functions (such as planning, abstraction, conceptualization)
Attention
Memory
Language
Perception
Sensorimotor functions
Motivation
Mood state and emotion
Quality of life
Personality styles

Boston SpedPac Chairperson Carolyn Kain will present on how to understand the results of these tests.
