FACElab at Emerson College

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a disorder of social communication and even individuals with strong language skills and high intelligence have significant problems with non-verbal communication, which often leave them socially isolated.  Many of these problems are based on difficulties reading non-verbal cues of others, or producing facial and vocal expressions that are interpreted as awkward by their peers. At the FACElab, we hope to learn more about how children with ASD perceive and produce non-verbal expressions and how their expressions are perceived by others.Questions?
