Join us for a FREE, disability-inclusive series of art workshops for children ages 5-13 accompanied by an adult family member/guardian. We'll create clay artwork to be fired in a kiln, then glaze it with bright colors. We'll have fun seeing what creatures and objects emerge from the clay, "telling" us what they want to be... surprises are bound to happen! As we figure out the story of our pieces, we'll build backdrops out of mixed materials, to help us display and perform these stories to each other at the end of the series.Note: PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This is not a drop-in series - please enroll if you can commit to coming to at least 3/5 sessions, barring unforeseen circumstances (followup fieldtrip is optional).To register call & leave a message or text with: your name, phone, ages of children, language, & accommodations needed. Crearemos obras de arcilla, que serán cocidas en el horno; luego las pintaremos con colores vivos. Será divertido ver cuáles objetos y criaturas surgen de la arcilla, "diciéndonos" lo que quieren ser... seguramente habrán sorpresas! A medida que vamos conociendo las historias de nuestras piezas, constuiremos telones de fondo de materiales mezclados, para ayudarnos a enseñar y narrar estos cuentos al final de la serie.
Ojo: SE REQUIERE LA PRE-REGISTRACION; por favor inscribese si ud puede comprometerse a asistir a por lo menos 3/5 sesiones de la serie, a menos que surgen circunstancias no previstas (la excursión adicional es opcional).
