Paid Research Study for Teens who use Injectable Medications

INSULIN PUMP STUDYThe first is to evaluate the instructions for a new insulin pump in development to see if they are effective and can be followed successfully.  We are seeking teens with Type 1 diabetes (ages 12 to 21).  We are particularly seeking adolescents who use a pen-injector or syringe, but also have some spots for pump users.  The stipend is $400 for pump users and $550 for those who administer their insulin via a pen or syringe.  It requires two or three visits.  We are also seeking some parents who have experience with giving injections.PRE-FILLED SYRINGE STUDYThe second study is to evaluate a syringe for use with people with HAE.  As this is a rare condition, they are including teens (12-17) who are experienced with any injectable or infusible device.  They do not need to have HAE.  So teens who inject because they have a chronic condition – diabetes, growth hormone deficiency, Crohn’s, juvenile arthritis or another autoimmune condition to name a few would qualify.  These are also taking part in January.  The stipend is $160 for a single visit or $300 for a double session.  Parents are also equally compensated for bringing their adolescent.EARN $160+ FOR EVALUATING A NEW MEDICAL INJECTION DEVICEADOLESCENTS and/orPARENTS of children on an injectable med 

• Diabetes
• Juvenile Arthritis, PID
• Crohn’s Disease
• Growth Hormone Deficiency
• Multiple sclerosis
• Atopic dermatitis
• HAE, Hemophilia, Gaucher disease
• Other conditions requiring an injection
