Lunch and Learn: Monday, March 6, 2023 12:00pm EST

Applying to College: Advice for Parents of Students with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and Neurodivergent Students

In this webinar, college consultant Ildi Szekely will discuss the differences between high school and college (laws and types of support available), documentation needed to request accommodations, and how to do so. A Q&A will follow.

Participants should expect to come away with:

  • Understanding the steps to take in high school to be ready for college.

  • Learning about the different levels of support offered by colleges.

  • Knowing how the laws impact students as they move to the college setting.

About the presenter: Ildi has extensive experience in providing specialized academic support for neurodivergent students in both high school and college. Prior to becoming an educational consultant, Ildi worked at Boston College, coordinating services for students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD, as well as Landmark High School where she collaborated in designing curriculum for students with specific language-based learning differences with emphasis on fluency, composition, comprehension, and study skills.
